For more than 30 years, the music band 2002 has been making music that feeds the soul. They have a style that you can’t mistake for anyone else. The group is a family affair, started by husband and wife Pamela and Randy Copus and now features their daughter, Sarah. Their music style is a beautiful mix of New Age, Soft Rock and Classical music and this style has landed them on the Billboard charts 12 different times. They have also won a Lifetime Achievement Award.
With their latest album The Wishing Well, released on January 16, 2026 via Galactic Playground Music, the Copus family once again reminds us why they remain one of the most loved and respected names in New Age music. The wishing well is their 23rd album and it feels especially thoughtful and personal. The idea behind it is simple but powerful: each song is like a wish dropped into still water, sent out with hope and intention. That feeling runs through the entire album. It’s inspired by personal memories, spiritual journeys, myths from different cultures, and moments that have shaped the Copus family’s life together.

The album was released through Galactic Playground Music and it’s just as perfect as an album should be. In this album, they explore the latest technology (like Dolby Atmos) to make the music sound cinematic but the heart of it is still Pamela’s flute and Harp, Randy’s keys and guitar and Sarah’s angelic voice.
Every song on this album tells a story and you can tell from the first note that the album is calm and inviting. The first song “Overture: The Restless Heart” opens the journey with a grand yet gentle touch. The swirling keyboards and rich textures feel like a look back at where the band began, while guest violinist Keyreel Raskolenko adds an emotional lift that makes the track soar. It sets the tone beautifully.
Three Wishes follows with a bit of Mystery. Inspired by old legends about genies and wishes, there’s a magical, storytelling feel to it.
The Spiral of Heaven; This song was inspired by a trip the family took to the desert 34 years ago. You can almost hear the vastness of the stars and the quiet of the canyon in the music.

The mood lifts with “Dream Chasers,” a bright and joyful track that celebrates creativity and possibility. Piano, flute, guitar, and vocals weave together in a way that feels playful and alive. It’s easy to understand why this piece has already found a home in meditation and wellness playlists.
Midway through the album, tracks like “Moon Lore” and “A Safe Harbor” slow things down again. Moon Lore draws inspiration from Turtle Island symbolism and lunar cycles, giving it a gentle, flowing rhythm. A Safe Harbor feels like a deep breath—calm, reassuring, and grounding in a way that feels especially welcome in uncertain times.
Then comes Bellhaven, a tribute to the garage where the band first started recording. It is a lovely Thank you to their own beginnings. There’s a strong sense of gratitude here, and it feels like a loving nod to how far they’ve come.
The album closes with “Savitri’s Dream,” a truly beautiful ending. This song is based on a famous book of Poetry that Pamela and Randy both loved. It ends the album with a sense of peace and wonder.
Personally, I’ll say the band 2002 has never failed to deliver and they’re the best at what they do because they prioritize Quality and it’s no suprise why they’re at the very top of the New Age genre.
The Wishing Well is not just another album, it’s a heartfelt gift from one family to the rest of the world. The copus family has managed to bottle up 34years of love and magic into ten perfect tracks and i recommend you listen. You’ll find this album to be a safe harbor. I promise that with every listen, you’ll come back to the surface feeling much lighter.
