On Tuesday’s episode of Jeopardy, Contestants were tested on their knowledge of rap’s fiercest battles. Under the cleverly named category “Diss-Track-Tions,” the infamous feud between Drake and Kendrick Lamar took center stage, earning notable mentions during the broadcast.

“In May 2024, these Drake and Kendrick had gone back and forth with tracks like ‘Family Matters’ and ‘Meet the Grahams,’” read the $800 prompt, to which contestant Isaac responded: “Who are Kendrick Lamar and Drake?”

In another part of the show, the long-standing beef between Jay-Z and Nas was highlighted with a $2,000 clue. The prompt read, “The title of this hate letter from Nas to Jay-Z that shares its name with an anesthetic drug now means ‘to insult publicly.’” The correct response was, “What is ‘Ether,’” referring to Nas’s 2001 track aimed at Jay-Z, which repeatedly featured the phrase “Fuck Jay-Z.” The two rappers officially ended their feud in the mid-2000s and have since collaborated on several songs, including DJ Khaled’s “Sorry Not Sorry.”

The “Diss-Track-Tions” category on Jeopardy! also featured shoutouts to rap battles between 50 Cent and Cam’ron, the Game and Eminem, and the iconic 90s feud between Biggie Smalls and Tupac Shakur. The clue about Biggie and Tupac mentioned Shakur’s “Hit ‘Em Up” and his strong West Coast pride.

This Jeopardy! category coincides with Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us” returning to No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100. Lamar recently released a video for the track, featuring clowns and an owl piñata. Rolling Stone’s Andre Gee described “Not Like Us” as “a DJ Mustard-crafted knockout blow with a classic L.A. swing.”
