Wet : “Rosy”

Wet, once a full-fledged band, has gradually transformed into a solo project led by vocalist Kelly Zutrau. Despite the shift in structure, Zutrau continues to release music under the Wet name, keeping her signature sound alive. As a long-time admirer of her work, I’ve kept an ear out for each new release she shares.

In June, Zutrau released the single “Double,” a collaboration with longtime partner Buddy Ross. Now, she’s back with another track titled “Rosy.” This new song was also co-written with Ross and features contributions from Daniel Aged of inc. and Rob Ackroyd, the guitarist for Florence And The Machine.

“Rosy” showcases the same delicate, dreamy, and R&B-tinged pop style that has defined Wet’s music over the years. The song exudes a wistful, crystalline atmosphere, reminiscent of the ethereal, folk-pop vibe that artists like Konradsen have also explored in recent years. Once again, Zutrau delivers a captivating piece of music. You can listen to the track below.
