Last month, Sleater-Kinney announced the deluxe edition of their January album Little Rope and released the track “Here Today.” Now, the iconic indie rock band is offering another preview with the new song “This Time.”
In a statement, the band shared, “‘This Time’ was the last song we wrote for the record and the last to be cut when we decided to focus on the evenness and succinctness of ten songs.” They described the song as reflecting “a person reaching the limits of denial,” positioning it on the thematic edges of Little Rope, which grapples with themes of loss and its aftermath.
