Ignorance Sparks Chaos: Beef? What Beef?

Future stirred the pot following a recent interview for GQ where he claimed he was unaware of the feud that has been going on between Kendrick Lamar and Drake.

You”ll think everyone knew about the infamous feud between the two rappers which led to multiple diss tracks been released about each other but to our shock on Wednesday, Elliot Wilson shared quotes from the unreleased GQ interview on X (formerly known as Twitter).

In this interview, Future spoke about the feud between K Dot and Drake and made a non challant remark where he admitted he wasn’t aware that Lamar and Drake participated in rap battles.

In his words, “There was a beef? I didn’t even know there was a beef. I didn’t even know they had nothing going on. I ain’t never participated in rap battles, man. He said “Big Three” on my song. I’m supposed to be the one who gets mad. I’m still confused about that”.

Future made this comment as he reflected on Kendrick’s diss track titled “Like That” which many fans believe was targeted towards Future as well. Future confused says; “If i didn’t get mad, nobody should have gotten mad”

This comments sparked reactions all over the internet as Twitter exploded with memes and commentaries as tweeps could tell Future didn’t want to be caught up in all the drama. For some, they found it funny while some thought it was cocky.

Some of the quotes from tweeps read; “Future is a villain, Lol,”

Another X user tweets ” Future to the Drake vs. Kendrick Lamar beef after igniting it on his own album”

Some other tweet read: “Pluto answered that like he was being questioned by the feds”

“Nigga lit the fuse and just acting clueless….he 40 and messy af”

“Your entire album is full of sneak disses at Drake, what are you talking about man?’

On the same interview, Metro Boomin also spoke about the ongoing feud and the song. In his own opinion, the beef is normal as it’s normal to fall out with someone, the only difference is that this fallout has an audience.

He further states that he had a personal issue with Drake and clarifies that it was not over a female rather a personal issue which hurt and disappointed him but if you take the rap industry and entertainment out of the picture, it’s like, have you ever been cool with someone and you both fell out over something?

It happens every day. It’s regular shit. This just happens to have an audience, he says.

Is the feud between these two rappers going to end anytime soon? I guess we’ll never know.
