Cocomyrrh: Congratulations on the release of “Days Go By”! Can you tell us what inspired this track?
Jamcie: Thanks so much. Days Go By was inspired by a breakup I went through after a long-term relationship. It captures the emotional rollercoaster of that experience—from the initial heartache to finally finding peace and even gratitude. It’s about how, over time, you realize that even tough endings can teach you important lessons and help you grow.

Cocomyrrh: How would you describe the sound and style of the song?
Jamcie: The song blends electronic music elements like UK Garage and drum & bass, but with a more liquid, euphoric feel. It’s emotional and introspective but still has that infectious beat that makes you want to move. It’s a mix of deep lyrics and music you can vibe to, which I think makes it stand out.

Cocomyrrh: You’ve collaborated with Justin Novak for a long time. What was the creative process like for this track?
Jamcie: Justin and I go way back. We’ve been making music together since our college days. For this track, we recorded in both his studio and mine in Exeter. Justin handled the production and mixing, and I focused on the songwriting and vocals. My housemate, Chris Warren, even contributed with his electric guitar, which added an amazing layer to the chorus. It was a real team effort, and we’re proud of the result.

Cocomyrrh: The song explores some intense emotions. Was it challenging to write?
Jamcie: Definitely. Writing about something so personal always comes with its challenges, but it’s also therapeutic. I wanted the lyrics to feel real and relatable, like you’re having a conversation with someone who’s been through the same thing. Lines like “Disconnected, like someone flipped the switch, tripped the electrics” came straight from that raw place of reflection.

Cocomyrrh: You’ve had support from big names like SHOSH of Kiss FM and performed at festivals with your hip-hop group FREE’MINDS. How has that shaped your solo career?
Jamcie: Performing with FREE’MINDS taught me so much about stage presence and connecting with an audience. The support from people like SHOSH has been incredible too—it’s pushed me to experiment with my sound and grow as a solo artist. With Days Go By, I wanted to bring all those experiences together into something fresh and meaningful.

Cocomyrrh: What do you hope listeners take away from Days Go By?
Jamcie: I hope they feel a sense of connection and understanding. Breakups are tough, but they can also be transformative. This song is about finding gratitude in those moments of pain and realizing they’re part of your growth. If someone listens and feels less alone, or even just enjoys the vibe, then I’ve done my job.

Cocomyrrh: Lastly, what’s next for you after this release?
Jamcie: I’m always working on new music! Justin and I have some exciting projects in the works, and I want to keep exploring this blend of electronic sounds and emotional storytelling. Hopefully, there will be more releases and live performances soon, so stay tuned!

Cocomyrrh: Any final words for your fans?
Jamcie: Just a big thank you for the love and support. Keep listening to Days Go By, and don’t be afraid to dance through the hard times. Also remember—every ending is just a new beginning.
