Heliara is a passionate singer-songwriter and storyteller and has been writing songs for as long as she can remember. She released her debut album Starry Skies in 2022, which features piano, voice, cello and bass and touches on themes of love, friendship, exploration, motherhood and working for your fairy tale.
In 2023, she released an indie folk track entitled ‘Under The Pines’ about intergenerational love and dedicated to her late grandfather.
Earlier this year, she released another single ‘He’s (No) James Bond’, a dark indie pop track that takes a twist on a classic story, blending cellos, pianos, and her smooth vocals.
Heliara’s latest release Cloak of Fear is a beautiful Pop rock anthem about anxiety and the loss of self-esteem, carrying with it a message of Hope and Empowerment.
On this track, the piano and guitar both exist in a game between dark and light. It’s not just a reflection of struggle but a celebration of resilience.
Heliara’s “Cloak of Fear” is more than just a song, it’s an emotional rollercoaster that takes you from the shadows of anxiety to the light of self-belief. Packed with honest lyrics, captivating melodies, and a voice that feels like it’s speaking straight to your heart, this pop-rock anthem is a must-listen for anyone who’s ever faced self-doubt and needed a reminder of their inner strength.
From the very first notes, “Cloak of Fear” pulls you in with its unique mix of emotions. The piano starts soft and reflective, like the quiet moments when you’re lost in your own thought then the guitar steps in, bold and determined, pushing the song forward with bursts of energy. This back-and-forth between the instruments mirrors the fight between fear and hope, making the music itself feel like a story.
Heliara’s voice is the star of the show. It’s rich, soulful, and full of emotion that you can’t help but feel every word she sings.
She doesn’t just hit the notes; she lives them. Whether she’s singing softly or soaring into powerful high notes, her vocals are like a conversation—intimate, raw, and incredibly moving.
The harmonies add an extra layer of magic, wrapping around you like a comforting hug even as the song explores tough emotions.
You can tell that every part of “Cloak of Fear” was crafted with love and precision. The piano and guitar don’t just sound good—they dance around each other, creating a sound that’s both emotional and energizing.
The drums and bass quietly hold everything together, giving the song a steady heartbeat that makes you want to tap your foot or nod along. Every element feels perfectly placed, creating a sound that’s both complex and easy to enjoy.
There’s something special about “Cloak of Fear” that makes you want to listen again and again. Maybe it’s the way the music blends softness and strength. Maybe it’s Heliara’s stunning voice or maybe it’s the way the song makes you feel—like someone truly understands what it’s like to struggle but also believes you can rise above it.
