On December 1st, 2025, they dropped their latest song FIVE and trust me when i say, this song is a winner. Five is a Love letter to family life—the good, the bad and the hilarious. It is inspired by The Cockney Cowboy’s own children and captures the everyday moments that make family special—laughs, jokes, giggles, playful banter, and the mischief that kids naturally get into. The song tells the story of growing up, dreaming of becoming a dad, and then actually living that dream. It feels honest and real, which makes it easy for listeners to relate to, whether they are parents or simply part of a close family.
The title Five was inspired by Cockney’s kids; Three boys and two girls (that’s the five). As Cockney Cowboy says, “it’s 5 times the fun 5 times the crazy 5 times the falls, the upsey daisy’s” How relatable is that?
The track is upbeat and the moment it begins, you’ll be tapping your foot, i guarantee it. It’s got this bouncy, happy rhythm that just feels so good. The drums stand out by adding a playful edge to the track, helping to reflect the lively age range of the children.
Dave Wright did an amazing job producing this song, it’s just so seamless and the quality of the production is clear throughout. The band is Fantastic: the bass guitar gently bobs along, which they call pure magic and the drums add this touch that emphasizes the energy embodied by the music. The instruments come together to create a perfect and fun piece of music. Every instrument fits together naturally, creating a sound that feels clean, balanced, and full of life. Nothing feels rushed or forced—the music flows smoothly, allowing the story and emotion behind the song to shine through. There is a real sense of teamwork here, showing how well the band works together.
