DPB- The Wonders of Christmas

David P. Brooks best known as DPB has just gifted us a double helping of Christmas spirit with the release of his new single “The Wonders of Christmas” and the official re-release of his animated family film of the same name. The artist who has been having an absolute banner year topping charts with rhythmic hits like his No 1 Christian Music Weekly Single “I Feel So Good Today- Happy Mix” but with “The Wonders of Christmas” he pivots beautifully.

The wonders of Christmas features the incredible talents of Journey Eiland and Quiwey Collins and it’s just a whole vibe. It’s one of those releases that just feels complete and perfectly timed for the holiday season.

The sound is a delicious blend of Vintage charm and modern sparkle. Think about the classic, cozy harmony of a 1950s doo-wap-track like The Drifters. This is not just a cover, it’s an evolution. While Quiwey Collins’ musical arrangements are pure magic, creating an instantly familiar track, it’s the kind of song that makes you want to put on a cozy sweater and watch the snow fall.

While the single wraps you in musical warmth, the film The Wonders of Christmas goes straight for the heart.

The animated movie—written by DPB and Journey Eiland—is centered around Vickie, a pregnant single mother whose world is shaken by heartbreaking news. This is followed by a deeply emotional journey through grief, unexpected kindness, faith, and ultimately redemption. You are reminded of what Christmas really is about and how the season is beyond gift exchanges or twinkling lights rather the kind of love and generosity that changes lives.

DPB’s film came as a suprise and left viewers marvelled about shedding both tears and smiles, and I completely understand why. It’s packed with real, heavy emotions and every cast brought impressive depth to their roles.

Of course, DPB isn’t one to tell a story without weaving music into the experience. The soundtrack is a beautifully curated addition, featuring five tracks, including three originals:

  • “Wonder Bells” – a Top 10 NRT charting hit and an instant holiday mood-lifter

  • “12 Blessings” – a thoughtful blend of DPB’s lyrical heart and Collins’ musical craftsmanship

  • “The Wonders of Christmas” – the movie’s signature song, penned by DPB and Journey Eiland

The instrumental and karaoke versions of “Wonder Bells” make the collection feel complete—like something you’ll want to revisit each year.

The Wonders of Christmas doesn’t feel like the regular seasonal release, it’s different and intentional and DPB sums it up beautifully with these words:

“We’re called to bless others every day, not just at Christmas.”

And that spirit runs through every frame of the film and every note of the music. This release reminds us of the joy of giving, the power of faith, and the simple, extraordinary beauty of love.

The song is not just entertainment, it’s a message. A story. An experience.

Love is the wonder.
Giving is the mission.
God is the gift.

If you’re looking for something this year that feels genuinely meaningful—and not just another holiday playlist filler—The Wonders of Christmas deserves a spot in your season.
