LeAnn Rimes – GREATEST HIT CHRISTMAS

LeAnn Rimes has been a familiar and comforting voice during the holiday season for many years. With her new album Greatest Hits Christmas, she brings together the best of her Christmas music—from the very beginning of her career all the way to today. This is her first holiday collection of this size and it’s filled with both beloved classics and exciting new songs, making it a perfect way to welcome the festive season.

LeAnn Rimes is already a huge star- she has won two Grammys and sold tons of records over the past 30 years. This new album, which came out on November 7 (just ahead of the holidays) is not just a bunch of old music put together. It’s a wonderful look back at all the amazing Christmas music she has made.

Greatest Hits Christmas is a compilation of songs from different decades which highlights Rimes growth as a person and an artist. The album which has 16 tracks feels like a warm, cozy blanket that also has some sparkle.  LeAnn Rimes describes Christmas as a “sacred season” and you can definitely feel that sacredness in this piece of art. She sings about everything from the fun, silly moments to the deeper, more thoughtful feelings that come with the holidays. This collection perfectly balances emotion, fun and energy.

Her lively version of “Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree” immediately brings holiday cheer and shows off her powerful voice. On the opposite end, her version of Joni Mitchell’s “The River” is quiet, thoughtful, and beautifully sung—a true highlight that reveals how deeply Rimes can connect to a song. She also brings new life to “Happy Xmas (War Is Over)” with a fresh 2025 digital mix that has never been widely available before.

The Best of the Old: You get to hear fan favorites and classics from her whole career, like her first holiday hit “Put a Little Holiday in My Heart” from 1997. She also gives us a super fun ubeat version of “Rockin around the Christmas tree”.

The Heartfelt Version: The version of Joni Mitchell’s song “The River” moves you beyond your imagination. She bodied it so bad and sang it with such raw, deep emotion. Her powerful take on “Happy Xmas (war is over) is also incredible with a newly updated mix.

Fan Suprises: The album also includes impressive collaborations with Aloe Blacc on “That Spirit of Christmas” and Gavin DeGraw on “Celebrate Me Home.” These duets bring extra warmth and soul to the record and show Rimes’ natural ability to connect with other artists.

There are new songs on the album too that we’re convinced would be everyone’s favorite. Three new songs that fit perfectly with the rest of the collection. One of them, “There’s No Such Thing,” features actor and singer Luke Evans. The song is playful and theatrical, giving fans a fun preview of Rimes’ upcoming musical Christmas project 32 Hooves.

Greatest Hits Christmas is best described as 58minutes of pure holiday magic. Every holiday mood you’re yearning for is right in this album. Whether you’re listening while wrapping gifts, decorating the tree or on a trip to go see loved ones, this collection has the perfect song for the moment.

This Album is the perfect playlist for the season; warm, beautiful and proves that LeAnn Rimes is one of the best singers when it comes to celebrating the season. It’s highly recommended for anyone who seeks the joy and comfort of Christmas.

If you ask me, it’s a 10/10 album and a must listen for the holidays.
