One Song, A Thousand Feelings; CHANDRA’s Just With You

There are songs you simply hear and there are songs that you can feel. With their latest single “Just With You,” Bristol-based pop-rock band Chandra delivers something that doesn’t just play through your speakers, it moves through you. The band Chandra are Chris Wong (bass), Mike Paul (lead guitar) and Chandra Nair (frontman, guitar)

Out now via Rexius Records, “Just With You” isn’t just another love song. It’s a soul-stirring reminder of life’s most meaningful moments—those fleeting, sensory memories that somehow leave the biggest imprint on our hearts.

The song feels like a warm memory wrapped in music.  Think about that one moment that has a hold on you and somehow brings chills down your spine. It could be a song from your childhood. The sound of waves hitting the shore. That one moment—maybe the first time you looked into someone’s eyes and felt truly seen. That’s what this song is all about; the little things that defines us and the incredible feeling of sharing all that with someone who gets it.

Chandra’s Just with you is emotionally warm. It’s a hopeful celebration of the past wrapped in an arrangement that feels like home. The band put their heart and soul into this song. This wasn’t an easy track to create as it took a lot emotionally, vocally and creatively. It pushed the band to their limits. The writing process was personal so much that it brought Chandra to tears while putting the lyric together. The melody itself stretched his vocal range to the edge, requiring raw vulnerability and technical precision to truly bring the song to life. Behind the polished sound is a journey of emotional struggle, growth, and dedication—proof that this track is more than just music to them; it’s a piece of who they are.

The vocal performance was also a struggle, as Chandra tells us: “I knew that this had to be the best singing I’d ever done because it had to be so real, so powerful and yet so vulnerable at the same time in order to convey these messages with authenticity. But when I wrote this melody I couldn’t initially sing it because it’s right on the range limit at both ends. I felt so much pressure to get it right but thankfully producer Elliot Vaughan coaxed it out of me in the end”.

While Just with you is deeply rooted in pop rock, it pulls in flavors of indie, alt rock and Britpop which together creates a fresh sound. It’s emotional without being melodramatic. The instruments have a way of adding emotional depth to the music. The bass adds warmth and groove. Every beat of the drum is perfectly placed with the guitar shimmering with beautifully layered melody.

This song reminds you of things that matter, and it just might remind you of someone you love. A reminder of your humanity as you slow down through the rush of life. When Chandra sings, “Here’s a glimpse into what makes my soul / I want to share it just with you,” it’s like they’re opening their heart to the listener. It feels honest and personal, like you’re being trusted with someone’s most meaningful memories. The song talks about falling in love, being hugged by someone you miss, and all the feelings that come with those moments. It’s soft, emotional, and real.

The official music video for Just With You drops August 25, and if the single is anything to go by, it’s bound to be an emotional visual feast.

With three other singles released earlier this year (Winners, Overload, and We Want Our Planet Back), Chandra is clearly in their creative prime—and now, with the support of Rexius Records, this new era looks incredibly promising.

If you’ve ever had a memory hit you like a wave, if you’ve ever longed to share your truest self with someone, if you’re craving a song that feels like a warm hug and a tear in your eye at the same time, then stop what you’re doing and go stream “Just With You” right now.

This isn’t just music. It’s medicine for the soul.
